Code of Ethics
eCompliments will hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards of conduct. Every eCompliments employee and affiliate agrees to govern its actions according to the following guidelines:
I agree I will NEVER:
- Say or imply anything that would cause a profile owner to believe that buying an upgraded profile or advertising will:
- Increase a profile’s eComplimeter ranking.
- Will delete or suppress negative compliments on their profile.
- Except for the Compliment Magnifier, cause compliments to be rearranged to show the best first or hide the worst.
- Remove a negative compliment from any profile, unless the negative complaint clearly violates the Site Use Agreement.
- Do anything that would bring into question the integrity or validity of the eComplimeter, its algorithm or the content that it is ranking.
- Pay a consumer to generate content for the site.
- Betray the identity of an anonymous poster to anyone outside of the Company, unless required to do so by law or under the terms of the Site Use Agreement.
- Argue or be rude to any user, registered user or profile owner, even if they are mistaken about the Company policies.
- Make and decision and perform any act that would be in direct violation of eCompliments’ clearly defined mission.
I agree I will ALWAYS:
- Report directly and immediately to the CEO any supervisor, other employee or affiliate who encourages me to violate this Code of Ethics for any reason.
