Results and Ranking

What is the eComplimeter?
The eComplimeter is our proprietary ranking algorithm that places the highest rated results for any search at the top of the list. This gives the user a clear distinction of who’s hot and who’s not. The eComplimeter is not easily manipulated and the ratios and tables used for calculating the meter will be kept confidential. The eComplimeter will give confidence to users of the quality of the compliments vs. the complaints a profile has received.

Can businesses "buy-up" their ranking?
No. The only way a business’ eComplimeter ranking can increase is by satisfied customers Sharing the Good about that profile. 

How are search results displayed?
Search results are gathered based upon the relevance of the search terms and the geographic parameters set by the user.  When profiles matching the search terms entered are found, they are displayed on the results page.  The order of their display is sorted: First, based on match / relevance; Second, by claimed profiles; Third, by eComplimeter score.  For example, a search for XYZ business in Denver, Colorado would return results for everything matching XYZ in Denver.  The results would display all claimed profiles matching XYZ in eComplimeter ranking order from highest to lowest and would then display all unclaimed profiles in eComplimeter ranking order from highest to lowest.
