The eComplimeter is our proprietary ranking algorithm which places the highest rated results for any search at the top of the list. This gives the user a clear distinction of who’s hot and who’s not. The higher the eComplimeter score, the higher profiles place on the results list.
We utilize the standard 5 star rating for customers to give, but the eComplimeter calculates many other factors as well. The eComplimeter is a sophisticated algorithm that measures and ranks the business and public profiles in our system based upon dozens of factors.
A few of these factors include: volume of compliments; volume of complaints; compliment to complaint ratios; 1 to 5 star rating; recommend profile results; category; response and resolution; and other factors. This helps to ensure that eComplimeter rankings are not tampered with and provide an accurate representation.
