Both my kids attended MOTL for preschool. My son is now in public school, and my daughter is at home. However, they both still inquire and talk about the Montessori, as they just adored their teacher’s Ms. Shony, Ms. Carrie, and Ms. Daysi!

It still amazes me how Ms. Shony is able to coordinate bi-annual singing performances! Encouraging several 3-5 year olds to memorize songs, while teaching them choreography! It was always a treat for the families, and quite entertaining! My soon-to-be, 4 year old, still breaks out into song or hums a tune from the shows. She’ll say, “I know that song, it’s from my school, mom! Ms. Shony, my teacher!”
My son misses the “Kid’s Night Out,” function. He was so excited to sign up, bring his pillow, blanket, and pajamas to school. He couldn’t wait for the Friday to end, so that the “big kid” would pick him up and escort him to the festivities. A night playing games with the Jr. Highers, pizza and movies was the best! (Mommy and daddy miss that too)
We can’t forget about the playground being next to the lake, and the feeding of the ducks! That was the highlight of their day and whenever we see ducks, of course, they remember MOTL. I love the campus location because it’s next to Albertson’s. It was so convenient popping in for a few groceries just before picking up the kids!
We miss the school, and the friends we made! Thank you for the memories!
