We recently visited Bend, OR and were immediately instructed to visit the local Brewery. We decided to check it out, and THOROUGHLY enjoyed the tour! First of all, we were provided (6) tastings each, & they were generous portions, at a perfect price… FREE! The employees working the counter were happy to be there, smiling and conversing with everyone. When it came time for the next sample, we didn’t feel like we were interrupting them. They truly had pride in their product and wanted to discuss the various beers. On the tour, our guide was not only knowledgeable about the brewing process, but was quite exuberant! We wanted to hear more, and buy, buy, buy! I’m not a “gift shop” kind of person, but we couldn’t leave without buying a couple of tee-shirts, and of course, a six-pack of Black Butte Porter & a bottle of Mirror Mirror. When we returned home to Southern CA, we immediately visited our Bev Mor and purchased some more Black Butte Porter. What inspired this compliment?  I popped open our very last Porter, and my husband came running saying, “I was eyeing that!” There was a bit of discussion, and you’ll be happy to know, we’re sharing…meaning he gets 2 sips, and the opportunity to go buy more! What can I say? It’s one of the few beers I actually like!
